The agreement
These terms are between you and Andre Valentine, LLC, a Hawaiʻi limited liability company doing business as HIIQ Business Solutions (“HIIQ”, “I”, “me”). They cover your use of the website at hiiqbiz.com and its pages, files, and the inquiry form (together, the “site”). If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
Paid work with HIIQ is governed by a separate written agreement, and that agreement wins over anything here if the two ever disagree.
What the site is
The site introduces HIIQ, explains the kind of work I do, and gives serious inquiries one way to start a conversation. It is not a client portal, a store, or a place where any account or payment happens.
Information, not advice
Everything on the site, including the field notes, is general information written to help small-business owners understand a topic. It is not accounting, tax, legal, financial, or technical advice for your situation, and reading it does not make you a client of HIIQ. Rules, rates, software, and best practices change; check anything you plan to act on against current sources or with a professional who knows your circumstances.
A client relationship with HIIQ begins only when we both sign a written engagement agreement.
Demonstrations are illustrative
The examples under Selected work and the workflows described in the field notes are labelled demonstrations built with fictional businesses and made-up figures. They show how a kind of problem can be approached. They are not client case studies, measured outcomes, guarantees of results, or statements that any product is finished or fit for your use.
Using the inquiry form
The inquiry form is for genuine questions about working with HIIQ. When you use it, you agree to:
- Give accurate information and an email address you actually check.
- Send a short description of your situation, not sensitive data. Do not put passwords, full card or bank numbers, Social Security numbers, health records, or other people’s private details into the form.
- Submit once, as yourself. No automated, bulk, or impersonated submissions. The form enforces sending limits and may refuse a submission.
- Understand that sending an inquiry does not create an engagement, and that HIIQ may decline any inquiry for any lawful reason.

Acceptable use
Use the site as a visitor would. Do not:
- Probe, scan, or test the site or its form for weaknesses, or try to get around its security or sending limits.
- Overload the site, its hosting, or its form with traffic or automated requests.
- Scrape, harvest, or mass-download content, or use the site’s content to train or fine-tune automated systems without written permission.
- Upload or transmit malicious code, or use the site to attack anyone else.
- Pretend to be HIIQ, Andre Valentine, or anyone you are not.
Ownership of the content
The words, design, photographs, video, illustrations, code, and the HIIQ name and marks on this site belong to HIIQ or are used with permission. “HIIQ Business Solutions” is a trade name registered in the State of Hawaiʻi. You may view the site and keep a personal copy of a page for your own reference. Anything more, including republishing, reselling, or building a competing product on the material, needs written permission from HIIQ first.
Names of other companies and products mentioned on the site belong to their owners and are used only to describe them.
Links to other sites
Some pages link to other websites, such as government or vendor documentation cited in the field notes. Those sites are not mine, I do not control them, and a link is not an endorsement. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you visit them.
Changes and availability
I may change, move, or remove any part of the site at any time without notice, and the site may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside my control. I do not promise any particular level of uptime.
No warranties
The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, HIIQ makes no warranties of any kind about the site or its content, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. I work to keep the information accurate and the site working, but I cannot promise it is error-free or always available.
Limits on liability
The site is free to use. To the fullest extent the law allows, HIIQ and Andre Valentine will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, arising from your use of or inability to use the site or its content, however caused. If any liability is found despite this, it will not exceed one hundred US dollars (US$100) in total.
Some places do not allow certain limits or exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Your responsibility
If your misuse of the site or breach of these terms causes a claim against HIIQ, you agree to cover the reasonable costs, including legal fees, that HIIQ incurs because of it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Hawaiʻi, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute about the site that cannot be settled by talking first will be brought in the state or federal courts located in the City and County of Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, and you agree to that venue. Either side may still use small-claims court where its rules allow.
Changes to these terms
I may update these terms from time to time. The new version takes effect when it is posted here with a new date. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept the updated terms.
The fine print about the fine print
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still stands. If I do not enforce a term right away, I have not given it up. These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and HIIQ about using the site; they do not cover any paid work, which has its own contract.
